High blood pressure symptoms - High blood pressure treatment

I’ve been taking amlodipine ( I think it’s also called Istin) for about two months. It seems to work well for my blood pressure problems but I get headaches and my legs are swollen all the time.
Is the swollen ankles due to my tablets - or is my blood pressure still too high - could it be that this is what the problem is.
I am worried about my swollen ankles. What should I do. Is this all due to side effects of Istin?
