I am 60 years old. Untreated my bp would be 155/105. I have tried various meds and most control the bp quite well. The problem is that after 6 weeks or so on meds, I experience muscle fatigue and pain similar to a lactic acid build up. This also affects my breathing. It’s debilitating. Any [...]

I’ve just discovered this new site devoted to low blood pressure.
You can find info about high blood pressure or hypertension all over the web but getting good quality stuff about the other end of the BP scale is more difficult.

I recently was experiencing big drops in my blood pressure. My baseline blood pressure is low about 90/60 — I was taking about 500mg of magnesium as part of a calcium/magnesium supplement. I was also taking an additional 150 - 250 mg of magnesium. I noticed on days when the magnesium dose was higher, my [...]

My husband is taking threee medications for his high blood pressure: caduet 10-20mg(for cholorestoral also), atenol 25mg and hydroclorothiazide 12.5mg.

How does this work?
Why does high blood pressure harm your kidneys. My friend developed kidney problems due to taking blood pressure treatment tablets - so which is worse, taking blood pressure treatment or simply [...]

I’ve been on what I used to call “water tablets” for my blood pressure for years now.
It’s a tablet called bendrofluazide and I’ve used it for about fifteen years. It seems to do the trick - but recently I’ve been concerned about getting dull headaches most days. Could this be due to my blood pressure?
Does [...]
