Is there a connection between blood pressure and dementia? Can treatment of blood pressure reduce the risk of dementia? Angiotensin blocker drugs seem to reduce the risk of dementia in blood pressure patients.

New American research has suggested that patients taking angiotensin receptor blockers are up to 40% less likely to develop dementia than those taking other blood pressure drugs and patients already suffering from dementia are less likely to deteriorate.
